Our joint project \u201cRange-Extended Radar Sensing using Flying Intelligent Surfaces\u201c aims to enable radar-based localization of objects in locations that are difficult to access, without the radar system itself having to fly on the UAV. Instead, a reconfigurable intelligent surface acts as a bridge for electromagnetic waves. Unlike the radar system, the surface is small, lightweight, energy-efficient, and therefore only has a small impact on the UAV flight performance.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"We are happy to participate in the  Priority Programme of the German Research Foundation 2433 \u201cMetrology on Flying Platforms\u201d.
